This is where it started getting interesting. The CHP has the chain inspection at around 3000 feet. We are now at close to 6000 feet and traffic has stopped because 2 wheel drive vehicles had not put on their chains. After spinning out, they decided it was time to put the chains on . . . in the middle of he road. There was also an 18 wheeler that had slid into the ditch, also without chains. You would think he would know better. At this point, I called Frank and told him not to wait for us.
